Founded in 2002, Assurance Software began by building custom software solutions for Tuscaloosa County Alabama in an effort to migrate each office to a modern technology platform. Since then, Assurance has expanded into serving multiple states and now provides a robust suite of software applications that county and municipal agencies use to serve the public. Even though we have grown to serving more than half of the population of Alabama and have launched our Property Tax Collections system in Georgia, we are still a privately owned, client-first, relationship centered company.

Lewis is the current president of Nitorco. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. From 1995 until 2002, Lewis took positions with other companies in which he built several major software solutions and supported several county governments. In 2002, Lewis founded the company on the idea of providing the best technical solutions with the best customer service. Lewis is widely regarded as an industry expert and oversees the overall technical direction of the company.
Derek Anderson graduated from Berry College in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a minor in Computer Science. After joining the Nitorco team in 2004, Derek became co-owner and Vice President in 2006. He also completed his Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Auburn University in 2006. Derek currently oversees the sales and client relationships.
